The El-log auger drilling method integrates electrical and gamma logging tools. The geophysical logging is performed continuously while drilling in unconsolidated sediments and the logs thereby provide detailed information on small-scale variations.

Four electrodes are cast into the auger rod for the electrical logging. With our modern ETR/IP instruments connected to the El-log, we have had great success making borehole IP-measurements primarily in connection with delineation of waste sites and waste site pollution.
