The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation
Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). CSIRO's groundwater research involves the largest group of groundwater hydrologists, geoscientists, and geophysicists in Australia. Principal and senior research scientists Dr. T Munday, Dr. A Davis, and hydrologist Dr. R Doble have long experience in the application of hydrogeophysical methods in groundwater studies and the development of hydrogeological models linking surface water and groundwater. Recent projects undertaken by CSIRO in collaboration with State Agencies include the integration of airborne EM and conventional hydrogeological investigative methods to quantify groundwater recharge rates and the use of hydrogeophysical methods to inform salinity flux to rivers and to constrain surface-water and groundwater models.
